The Yamaha RX-V3800 delivers audio and video via its seven channel 970w surround sound, analog video that upscales up to full HD 1080p, and its surround realism that includes 3D CINEMA DSP. It supports high definition audio format signals, adaptive DRC and Adaptive DSP levels along with Network Receiver functions.

The Yamaha RX-V3800 is a home theatre receiver that features a seven channel 980 w surround sound (140 w x 7) and it is also compatible with Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby True HD. It incorporates DTS-HD High Resolution Audio and DTS-HD Master Audio. The devices used are encompassed with Digital ToP-ART. The sound reproduction is done by the Pure Direct technology that provides a higher fidelity sound reproduction. Burr Brown 192KHz/24 bit DAC’s is used for its front channels and 192 KHz/24-bit ADC for MainZone. The video transmission is done via analog video (480i or 480p) upscaling to full HD 1080p. The latest HDMI 1.3 a (4 in/1 out) specification supports Deep Colour (30/36 bit). Analog videos can be upconversed to HDMI digital video with TBC. Its surround realism is encompassed by 3D Cinema DSP that creates intensive stereoscopic sound fields, Improved Compressed Music Enhancer with Straight Enhancer Program and Adaptive DRC (Dynamic Range control) and Adaptive DSP Level.The network receiver functions include Internet Radio, PC music files, USB portable audio players and flash drives. It is XM ready with XM HD Surround powered by Neural THX Surround decoder. It is also compatible to iPod via the optional Yamaha YDS-10. The short cut setup is an improved YPAO and it featres System Memory buttons on remote unit. It supports a digital connection to a Blu-ray Disc and HD DVD players. Other features include 40 FM/AM preset stations, SILENT CINEMA and Virtual CINEMA DSP, Subwoofer phase select, sleep timer, detachable power cable, and aluminium front panel and volume knob/input selector.
