The sound processing is done via its DOLBY Decoder in DD Plus, and TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, Neural Sound, THX Proccesing Mode, DSC Processing, Direct Mode, and Music Optimizer. Seven multi-band speaker EQ is also integrated. In addition to this, it is also one of the first receivers to integrate ISF (Imaging Science Foundation) video calibration. It features seven channels and a parallel dual PUSH-PULL design. The Onkyo TX-SR876 upscales video to 1080i. An iPod can be connected to the AV receiver. In addition to this, it features a built-in HD Radio Tuner, XM radio and SIRIUS Radio. The warranty is a limited 2 year warranty.

ONKYO 876 ROCKS. I have owned many brands over the years, some very expensive, some not so expensive. However, when it comes it comes to quality and bang for the buck there is no way this system should get anything less then 5 star. I would not trade it for anything currently on the market. ONKYO 876 is top dog in my opinion. I disagree completetly with the REON comment. Unless of course you were unlucky enough to get the first run. However, Onkyo corrected the problem... Read more
A first class product - have had it for 9 months. Sounds great and Reon Video processor does a super job - I have all content upgraded to 1080p to 60" Pioneer Plasma. Interface is pretty easy, but takes some time with the manual to understand things. Does run hot, so needs ventilation. Looks like this is being phased out so you can get them cheap. Always had good luck with Amazon and electronic purchases. Read more
