The Marantz SR4002 is an A/V receiver that delivers a 80 Watts x 7 amplifier output. The Marantz SR4002 can be connected via a single cable to a DVD player or to a TV Screen. It features in built decoders including DTS, Dolby Digital, DTS Neo:6, Dolby Pro Logic IIx, Dolby Digital EX, DTS-ES and DTS 96/24. Besides this it also features an integrated RDS FM tuner. It also featues MRAC auto calibration. S-video to component video up conversion that enables picture quality from any sources be maintained in terms of quality.The second audio zone output allows users to experience favourite sources in different zones in the comfort of the home. A Dolby headphone is also featured so surround experience can be enjoyed privately. The remote is backlit for use in the dark. The dimensions are 17.3" x 15.2" x 6.3" and weighs at 25 lbs.

    Loaded with features once found on receivers costing considerably more, the Marantz SR4002 surround receiver packs a lot punch where it's needed, but is easy on the wallet. Read more

    I picked up one of these back in March (currently October) and it has been solid and flawless from day one. Ran a 7.1 system comprised of KEF Reference series 105.4 as front L and R. KEF iQ2c center channel, Klipsch promedia satellites for surround and a polkaudio PSW110 Sub.     Performs well for music and video, but it makes popping noises when muting or changing inputs. Same thing when going between chapters on a DVD. It's not a speaker-damaging loud pop but it is very annoying. Took it to the authorized service center, also communicated with the Marantz service people in NJ many times (including the "manager" or equivalent).     I just recently got into the audiophile world and I have been making numerous upgrades to my home theater. The sound on my Samsung LN40A550 was terrible and to really bring out the full-value of this TV...you need great audio!
